Release | Endless OS Version 3.3.9

Here’s what’s new in version 3.3.9

(Released: January 15, 2018)

  • Security fix. This release includes updates to combat the hardware security issue known as the ‘Meltdown’ bug on Intel processors, and to help prevent the ‘Spectre’ vulnerability (see https://meltdownattack.com/ for more info). Additional updates will be required to fix more applications and continue improving the security measures we already have in place. Those updates will be released as soon as as they occur.

  • Update to Chromium 63. Users can now enjoy Chromium 63 which contains a number of new developer features in the web platform, speed and memory enhancements, and bug fixes. See the upstream release notes for more. The Endless version of Chromium 63 also includes security fixes to prevent the ‘Spectre’ bug.
