I tried using the installer to download files and immediately install it on my pc. but after it got to 2.4 gig my pc restarted and when i tried to restart the download i realized it wasn’t continuing i was rather supposed to start again … meanwhile the space i dedicated for the initial download is still occupied

The partially-downloaded files are hidden. The installer uses BITS to download the image. In theory any previous download should be resumed in the situation you describe so I’m interested to know what’s happened.
The installer uses the Windows built-in BITS API to download the Endless OS files, so you can use the BITS Cmdlets or other tools to cancel the “lost” download job, freeing the space.
