Chrome / Firefox

Chrome is asking for an update. Your given terminal commands don’t work with me.
What am I supposed to do now.

Firefox is lacking video addons /plugins to run amazon prime videos!! The plugin is not being given in the settings.

Something that would help us a lot to understand the problem would be this:

  1. Open the application called ‘Terminal
  2. In this application run the command:

eos-diagnostics

  1. The above command will create a file with the information of your system (example: eos-diagnostic-160614_111731_UTC + 0100.txt); Send us this file so we can analyze and see a possible solution

Hi , here we go with the file you asked me for,

regards Wolfgang Koch

eos-diagnostic-230126_020305_UTC+0100.txt (1.78 MB)

I need help and assistance how to do that sync to get an update
for the missing stuff. Do I need to deinstall and how do I save
data on chrome. What about the firefox video plugin issue on
Amazon? Can you show me step by step how to fix my issues Daniel.

I can not find a a download file on your given link to install
the new google chrome browser, Wolfgang

Chrome now on 109.0.5414.119-1 . You can update with GNOME Software or Terminal with command flatpak update

How do I get the video plugins for firefx, this is still an open
question

I tried the terminal command and I will observve if it works out

I don’t know precisely about watching Netflix/Amazon Prime Video on Firefox. Probably it’s about DRM.
I hope the link below will help.

These terminal commands
do not work for me on Linux endless , just on linux mint to make
the samba server run. Can you send me the right commands for my
linux endless device. Regards Wolfgang

Hi Wolfgang Koch,

First go to vi editor to

edit the smb.conf file

sudo su
vi /etc/samba/smb.conf
  After you

are in the file, move the cursor to the [Global]

  Then

press “Ins” Key on your keyboard to change to edit mode.

  Add the

following command

client min protocol = CORE
  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I get exactly stuck at this point down below

** After
adding the line, press “Esc” Key, then input “:”, **

** then
input “wq”, press “Enter”. **

Works Done.
