EOS 4 OpenVPN Bug

Hello  I just installed Endless 4.0.0 and it works great so far but there is a bug with the new OpenVPN option - the Add button stays greyed out even after you enter all the required data. See the attached screenshot.

Something that would help us a lot to understand the problem would be this:

  1. Open the application called β€˜Terminal’
  2. In this application run the command:

eos-diagnostics

  1. The above command will create a file with the information of your system (example: eos-diagnostic-160614_111731_UTC + 0100.txt); Send us this file so we can analyze and see a possible solution

Looks like you are required to provide a CA certificate. Does this differ from other OpenVPN clients?
If you don’t have a more specific CA, you could try providing /etc/ssl/certs/ca-certificates.crt in that field which is a collection of the internet root CAs.

Hello, Daniel,
Thank you - this workaround allowed me to create the VPN profile. Unfortunately, there is no way to specify user group and to add secondary dynamic password.

We’re just shipping the standard UI here, maybe you can ask about this on the NetworkManager mailing list, including comparisons to how this looks on other platforms:
https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/networkmanager-list
They may be able to suggest workarounds or improve the functionality for future versions.
