How to delete Global Search Bar?

Hello all! Can anybody tell me how can I delete Global Search Bar from the main screen? Endless OS freezes when typing on this search bar. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

You can’t disable the search bar, as it’s a integral part of the desktop extension responsible for providing the EOS experience. However, as this sounds like a bug, please provide us further details by:

  1. Open a Terminal, then run:
gnome-session --debug
  1. Now, search something in the search bar
  2. As your computer may no become unresponsive, please wait a few minutes before doing a hard reboot (to make sure the log information has been written down to the disk)
  3. After a reboot, please run: eos-diagnostics and upload the generated file for further analysis

Can you please try the following commands in Terminal:

mkdir -p ~/.local/share/applications
cp /usr/share/applications/org.gnome.Yelp.desktop ~/.local/share/applications
echo Hidden=true >> ~/.local/share/applications/org.gnome.Yelp.desktop

Do the hang still occurs when entering something into the Top search bar?
