Lan with a Authentication

We are a non-profit school institution (public school). Our name is “Agrupamento de Escolas de Almancil”. Whenever possible, we use open source solutions. The integration of these solutions is also a decisive aspect in our choices.
In our computer services, we use Ubuntu Server to emulate a domain controller identical to Windows Server 2008 R2. Our users (students and teachers) are all in an LDAP database respecting the typical structure of an Active DIrectory. What kind of integration can I expect from Endless? AD logins? SMB Network Shares?
VLAN assignment is done by user authentication according to 802.1x. Our authentication service is done through FreeRadius. The authentication protocol used is EAP-PEAP-MS-CHAPv2. Does Endless support this network authentication method?**
We need backup from you to make a significant change in the paradigm of our schools in Portugal.

  1. 802.1x is supported by the Network Manager
  2. LDAP Authentication has to be set up using the specific PAM Security Modules (pam_ldap.so) which aren’t available on EOS.
