Laptop keyboard: keys not functioning properly

Hi, my laptop (version 3.9.7) keyboard is not functioning properly. I press a key and it plays a different function like when i press ‘e’, the laptop logs off or ‘f’ and opens the settings. I plugged an external keyboard and it works fine so it must’ve been the keyboard driver. I don’t know what to do. I ran a diagnostics but I’m not able to understand so I hope anyone could help me.
