Hi from France,
My old father have a second hand ASUS Vivobook bought online a few years ago, with Endless OS as native system.
Since I launched the last 6.0.11 update, a few troubles suddenly appeared.
Pre-update minor troubles :
-
Since it’s a second hand laptop : I wondered about sometimes weird /org/freedesktop updates that could happen altogether on different versions.
-
There’s an app : Tenacity, which is an audacity fork, that I can’t uninstall.
-
Bluetooth is often randomly turning on by itself, although I always turn it off because I don’t need it. And it looks like it could be a confidentiality trouble, as well.
Post-update minor troubles :
-
It used to work very well, but now, the screen doesn’t wake up from Sleep Mode. It’s black and a hard reset is required to restart the laptop, which is not ideal, for the least. I admit that only turning it On and Off instead of using the sleep mode would not be a big deal.
-
My father used to connect it to the TV by HDMI cable, it worked very well and both screens were mirrored. Now, the HDMI connection doesn’t work anymore, the laptop screen goes full black even after the cable deconnection, and hard reset, again…

The Bluetooth button is turning on more often.
Thank you for your distro and, eventually, for your feedback.
