Hi there 
It has been a while since I first got a touch pad problem and it remains.
The problem is: once the laptop switches to sleeping mode / gets locked, it loses connection to the touchpad. So when i want to go back to work, the touchpad doesn’t work.
So far there wasn’t any way out of it.
