New asus laptop stuck at Endless OS logo

Gets stuck at the Endless os logo. Shows this when you press f12 after rebooting
“NMI Watchdog: Bug: Soft Lock Up- CPU#3 stuck for 22s! [plymouth:191]”

I cannot access it. It’s stuck at the Endless OS logo.

@LeandroStanger please stop sending this FAQ to people who clearly say that their computer does not boot!

@Karan_Singh what’s the exact model of this laptop? Did it previously boot successfully, but stop booting after an upgrade; or did it come with Endless OS, and never boot successfully?

It’s ASUS Fx553VD. It came with pre-installed Endless OS. Worked fine for a couple of hours after which I updated few apps from the store. However, when I restarted the laptop it won’t boot after the Endless OS logo.

you can accompany a compatibility check with a h-node search.

Try turning it on, and hitting Escape about once a second. This should allow you to get to the GRUB boot menu. Under the Advanced … subheading you should be able to boot into the previous version of Endless OS (probably 3.1.x) that used to work. Can you tell us what the two versions you see there?
