Not enough Disk space - v4.0

EOS on dual boot system with W10. Been running fine. Hadn’t updated in a while, so cycled through several rounds including upgrade to v 4.0.13. Partition size for EOS > 100GB. Cannot do any further updates due to “low disk space” ? Sysroot shows nearly “maxed” at 16GB. There’s plenty of disk space so what is causing this error ?
