How can I pin software in task bar, that I have installed via console!? Also how can I add it to the main desktop as an icon!?

Hi Andris - if your software provides a .desktop file and it’s installed in the appropriate location (either /usr/local/share/applications on the system or ~/.local/share/applications/ in your home folder) then you should be able to find the software in the App Center and select the “Add to Desktop” option, find it in the desktop search, and right click on the task bar to select the “Pin to taskbar” option. All of these features rely on having a .desktop file for the app. After creating the .desktop file or moving it into place (most Linux apps provide one these days), you might need to log out and log in again so that the files are reloaded.
