So it is necessary to update to 3.3.18 before one will be able to update to 3.4.
I followed these commands posted by @LeandroStanger in another thread.
rm -f eos-fix-ostree-repo
wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/endlessm/eos-meta/master/eos-tech-support/eos-fix-ostree-repo
chmod +x eos-fix-ostree-repo
sudo ./eos-fix-ostree-repo && sudo flatpak update
This resulted in hundreds of megs of files being download being downloaded. As I watched the output in the terminal stream by I noticed several things. The applications Funny Videos and Animations which were installed on my system created an error that their flatpaks did not exist on the flatpak repo.
This following error was reported “Note that ‘/sysroot/flatpak/exports/share’ is not in the search path
set by the XDG_DATA_HOME and XDG_DATA_DIRS
environment variables, so applications may not
be able to find it until you set them.”
And the entire process ended with “One or more errors occured.” without telling me what the errors were or what impact they had on the operation.
This made no difference on my system. I still get “No updates are available.” and the Application Center shows no updates either.
