Replace Windows with Endless

Hello, i just bought an ASUS laptop, and it camed with Endless OS preinstalled, i installed windows 10 pro on it, and it seems to have a problem with the hard-disk and i have to refund it. I have to put back the Endless OS on it… I installed directly over windows, but i cant delete the windows and keep just the Endless… I tried to make an Bootable USB but it keeps giving me an error like “Oops…”… What can i do?

@LeandroStanger that is unlikely to help directly since the whole problem here is that @AndreiF has only a Windows system.

@AndreiF follow these instructions https://support.endlessm.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003058803-How-do-I-make-a-debug-log-for-the-Endless-Installer-for-Windows- and attach the debug log here. An alternative is to download an ISO from https://support.endlessm.com/hc/en-us/articles/209063006-Where-can-I-download-the-Endless-OS-ISO-image-files-directly- and use Rufus to write it to USB.

http://www109.zippyshare.com/v/zPQhxQG0/file.html I guess this is the debug file… Now i am asking, is there anyway to install endless on single-boot? To get just endless os on that laptop?

Do this:

You’re hitting a known bug in the Installer for Windows which I’m working on but don’t have a fix for yet:

18:41:45 - EndlessUsbToolDlg.cpp:4922 CEndlessUsbToolDlg::CreateUSBPartitionLayout
18:41:45 - EndlessUsbToolDlg.cpp:4986 Could not set drive layout. (GLE=[1393])
18:41:45 - EndlessUsbToolDlg.cpp:4799 Error on CreateUSBPartitionLayout (GLE=[1393])
18:41:45 - CreateUSBStick exited with error.

Yeah , but i have to format the windows from the hard and install just the endless right?

Write an Endless OS ISO to USB using Rufus, boot from that USB, and you’ll be able to reformat the hard disk with Endless OS. I’m afraid there’s not much more I can tell you!
