Uninstalled Endless but disc space not freed i.e; still occupied

Hey,

I already posted in some other thread about installing Endless OS on my desktop PC, where I was facing some issues with Endless not showing up. Later I realized it might be that the third OS is not showing up in the options, because I already had Windows 10 Enterprise and Remix OS installed on my desktop.

I then installed Endless on my Laptop, with Windows 10 Home basic, just to try with the mini-version of the OS with the 16Gb option during install. Viola…

It just worked. I could see the option during restart. But now I wanted to increase the space and install the full version because I had already downloaded it. I thereby Uninstalled Endless, but unfortunately the space I had on my C drive reduced from 241 to 222 Gb. No account for the 19Gb of space…!!!

So if I install the full version of the OS and give it an option of 64 Gb, the next install would eat up more space without any account, I believe… Is it true or am I mistaken anywhere…??? Please Help…!

Could attach only one image here, can send the other if allowed to do so…!

It is not showing in the options for this reason…

Same post posted 4th time

After installing endlessos boot again with the usb drive and open the " GNOME disks " from " Utility " and select your harddisk where the OS is installed and select settings and make it bootable.

There is an option " Bootable " check it and power off and remove usb and reboot and you have a working OS.

Thanks @smileyyasha but this thread is not about boot issues at all, so your fix is not at all relevant or applicable.

Hey @Arnav_Bhattacharya, sorry you’re having trouble. For your first bug, we think there is actually a problem with how we install our EFI bootloader, which we will try and fix ASAP (within the next couple of days).

For the space not being freed up, can you please attach the .log created by the uninstall process? You can drag and drop or click the upload icon (please don’t copy/paste).

If you started the process by clicking on the endless-installer.exe a 2nd time, you can find the EndlessInstallYYYYMMDD-HHSS.log file in the same folder as the endless-installer.exe. If you have multiple you can drag and drop them all here.

If you used the “Add/Remove Programs” control panel, the log file should be in C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Local\Temp\ folder and have a similar name.

Can you change your File Explorer options and enable “Show hidden files/folders” and turn off “Hide system files and folders” then browse to your C:\endless folder and take a screenshot?
