Updates problem

How to solve this problem? Please find the photo attached

  1. Open the application called ‘Terminal’
  2. In this application run the command:
killall gnome-software
flatpak update --appstream && flatpak update -y
eos-updater-ctl update
gnome-software

You could also send a diagnostic by following the instructions from this article:

The end line is: file system is for reading only. No update, nothing’s working

Something that would help us a lot to understand the problem would be this:

  1. Open the application called ‘Terminal’
  2. In this application run the command:

eos-diagnostics

  1. The above command will create a file with the information of your system (example: eos-diagnostic-160614_111731_UTC + 0100.txt); Send us this file so we can analyze and see a possible solution

Thanks but i cannot send the file - i managed to take photos of some diagnostics and the pc does not respond any more.

  1. Open the application called ‘Terminal’
  2. In this application run the command:

flatpak repair

I did twice. All is same. The system is for read only. was not able to do eos-diagnostics.

Can you please submit a screenshot of the following command:

journalctl | grep sd[a-c]

Having a read-only system often indicates that there is a problem with your hardware.

Hello, Egrath! Glad to hear from you. !
I could not do the pipe sign so I am sending you what there is.

Instead, you can also type:

journalctl /dev/sda

I need the log entries corresponding to the disk device to see if there are any errors.

Sorry for the late reply. Just got home. Is this ok or it is not finished yet?
Thanks a lot for your help!

Sorry, had forgotten to include the command to make you root to see all messages:

sudo journalctl /dev/sda
