Video is slow, for no apparent reason

I’ve got a I3 with Intel graphics, Emulation was apparently fine, But for no reason, it gets too slow. I have cheked for other apps running at the same time. Nothing. I reboot the computer to clean the cache, nothing. I turned off the automatic updates. Yet the same, it is as if the video work whenever it feels like it.

Hi, can you please be a little more specific:

  • What do you mean with Emulation was fine?
  • Which application has slow video? Playing videos in VLC or Youtube? Or do you mean the graphics output is genereally slow, e.g. when dragging around Windows.

I was emulating Gamecube via dolphin and getting great fps, until one day it just dropped to 1/4 of the fps. No setting were changed.

Eventually Dolphin got updated? Do other things run smoothly (video Playback on Youtube, other Games)

No, it’s a media thing, I use Retroarch and it slows as well, youtube videos get laggy.
