When might SimpleScan [Document Scanner] be updated next?

Hi,

Having an issue with a Canon scanner/printer. The author of the app said he uses the sane project for the backend and the Sane guys say they already have that scanner working in the latest version of SANE. Any idea when it might next be updated?

Hi!

We updated SimpleScan to what is currently the latest version, in EndlessOS 3.7.3. However, the SANE version may not be recent enough to support your device. When you contacted them, did the SANE maintainers happen to mention which version they fixed it in? We have 1.0.27 in EndlessOS, but I assume they might be referring to 1.0.28 which was released recently?

1.0.28 has the fix for the scanner via usb - wifi still doesnt work
