Audio not working on Z8350

Hi, trying Endless OS, but unfortunately audio is not working on my device. I got “Empty Output” in settings. Any help would be great.

Thanks for reporting this issue.
The audio driver is active, but I believe it’s just missing some platform-specific UCM files that would allow the audio functionality to be used.

It looks like these files have been added for future releases of the ALSA sound library. Unfortunately I can’t see a way for you to manually add them to an existing install, but I’m seeing if we can add them in an upcoming Endless OS update.

We’re going ahead with including these missing files in our next software update, due to be released sometime next month.

During the next few days we will also probably publish a beta pre-release that includes this change too, I’ll try to remember to update here when that happens!

We have just made a new beta pre-release which is expected to fix this problem: Beta Release | Endless OS 3.7.4~beta1. If you would like to give it a try, there is a link on that post explaining how to join the beta channel. Otherwise, the final 3.7.4 release is expected to be out sometime next week. Please let us know if either of these releases fix the problem for you.
