Can owner not create or delete file in usr/lib

how can i create a folder in usr/lib? bc it giving an error:
mkdir java
mkdir: cannot create directory ‘java’: Read-only file system

Endless OS uses a technology called OSTree for updating the system , this make updates fast, easy and reliable. But part of the way it works is be keeping that part of the file system read-only. This means that you can’t make changes to areas like /usr/lib

You can do whatever you want in your home directory, and you can install applications using Flatpak from our App Center.
