Cannot create a partition on my usb disk

Hello, i need help
i formated my usb sandisk from gnome disk and now the laptop does not detect it on documents.
I tried creating a FAT partition but it displays a message telling me there is some error.

Try choosing “Don’t overwrite existing data” when creating/formatting the partition.

i did chose " dont overwrite existing data(quick) " but it showed the same message .

thanks alot but i was able to partition it by just decreasing the partition size and keeping some free space
