Can't set VLC to default DVD player

Under Default Applications, VLC is set as the default for videos, but when I insert a DVD, the Videos app launches and complains that it’s an encrypted disc and won’t play it.

When I go to the Applications section of Settings, I cannot “unset” Videos from being the default player for DVDs.
