com o comando toolbox é possivel instalar outros aplicativos que não estejam na central de programas?

Yes, thats possible. With toolbox (podman) you can run a complete instance of another Linux distribution like Fedora and use all the software available there. Just run

toolbox create

to create a default Fedora toolbox. Or, if you intend to run another distribution like Ubuntu, follow this Thread Running Ubuntu with Podman
