Desktop apps not showing

desktop applications not showing but i can search for them on the search bar on the desktop and they do work…can you help, how can i make them appear on my desktop. i hv also tried by add apps on desktop using app center its not working

Something that would help us a lot to understand the problem would be this:

  1. Open the application called ‘Terminal’
  2. In this application run the command:

eos-diagnostics

  1. The above command will create a file with the information of your system (example: eos-diagnostic-160614_111731_UTC + 0100.txt); Send us this file so we can analyze and see a possible solution

eos-diagnostics is not download in the terminal …i have even tried to generate the file by pressing alt + fn + f2 but cant get it

hello anyone to help guys…please

eos-diagnostics.txt (190.5 KB)

i hv managed to download it through the shared account

Could you open the “Disks” app and check what is says next to “Assessment”?

this is what i get when i open the disks application

hello? @mwleeds @LeandroStanger

To repair the filesystem you would have to boot from an Endless USB drive (https://support.endlessm.com/hc/en-us/articles/210654503) and use the “Disks” application there (and choose the “Repair filesystem…” option).

It does say “568 bad sectors” in the picture you posted, which means your hard drive is experiencing some hardware failure and may need to be replaced.

I would also recommend backing up any important data you have.
