Dpkg missing file

when i try to use dpkg,the following error apears:
dpkg: error: failed to open package info file ‘/var/lib/dpkg/status’ for reading: No such file or directory

Pls help

it is trying to install applications but Flathub has been enabled in Endless OS 3.2.5

I read it and it says that apt-get install and dpkg are installed. The error says that a file is missing

They’re trying to use dpkg which is not supported on Endless OS.
