I’m super excited about the possibility of using Endless OS. It looks like a fantastic piece of software that has had a tons of community effort put into it. Thanks to all of the folks that have worked so much to make it a reality.
I have an old Dell Latitude E7440 w/ 16GB of RAM and a 2TB SSD. I’d love to be able to dual boot this laptop between Windows 11 and Endless OS.
I have performed a clean install of Windows 11 Pro using a Rufus4.5 and a Windows 11 23H2 iso image. In Rufus, I am ticking the “Remove requirement for 4GB+…”, “Remove requirement for an online…” and “Create a local account…” During the install process I select the entire 2TB drive. The Windows 11 install goes smoothly. (OS Build 22631.2861).
It does not appear to be turning on BitLocker encryption or any drive encryption to my knowledge.
I open up MS Edge and navigate to:
support endlessos /installation/windows-installer/dual-boot webpage I download the Windows Installer, and double click on the exe file. I click Install Endless, and then Endless OS FULL. I select 512GB and click Next.
The process completes with no error messages and then prompts me to reboot.
I open an administrator command prompt and run “powercfg /hibernate off” and then “shutdown /r /t 00” to reboot.
I reboot and the grub 2.06+dev154… display a menu. I select Endless OS.
The Endless splash screen comes up and I hit ESC.

This seems like a really non-standard OS install. I’d love some help!!
