Hello, how can i enable channels 13 and 14 for wifi, the ones appear as following?
Frequencies:
* 2412 MHz [1] (20.0 dBm)
* 2417 MHz [2] (20.0 dBm)
* 2422 MHz [3] (20.0 dBm)
* 2427 MHz [4] (20.0 dBm)
* 2432 MHz [5] (20.0 dBm)
* 2437 MHz [6] (20.0 dBm)
* 2442 MHz [7] (20.0 dBm)
* 2447 MHz [8] (20.0 dBm)
* 2452 MHz [9] (20.0 dBm)
* 2457 MHz [10] (20.0 dBm)
* 2462 MHz [11] (20.0 dBm)
* 2467 MHz [12] (20.0 dBm)
* 2472 MHz [13] (disabled)
* 2484 MHz [14] (disabled)
I believe your location affects which channels are enabled. Which country are you in? Please also collect a debug by following these instructions and attach it here.
@wjt hello, I am in Turkey eos-diagnostic-190205_110057_UTC 0300.txt (2.7 MB)
According to this table channel 14 is not permitted outside of Japan. However, I don’t know why 13 is disabled even though 12 is enabled – I can’t find a document describing a region with that restriction.
@Daniel do you know how this WLAN regulation mechanism works? I notice this in the logs:
fev 04 11:37:00 endless kernel: cfg80211: Loading compiled-in X.509 certificates for regulatory database
fev 04 11:37:00 endless kernel: cfg80211: Loaded X.509 cert 'sforshee: 00b28ddf47aef9cea7'
fev 04 11:37:00 endless kernel: dcdbas dcdbas: Dell Systems Management Base Driver (version 5.6.0-3.2)
fev 04 11:37:01 endless kernel: platform regulatory.0: Direct firmware load for regulatory.db failed with error -2
fev 04 11:37:01 endless kernel: cfg80211: failed to load regulatory.db
but I think this is “normal” in the sense that I see it on all my machines too.
(I also notice that you’re using Endless in Portuguese, despite being in Turkey – is this deliberate?)
nope i am using endless in english :-o
I must have been looking at a completely different log! Sorry for the mix-up.
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=892229#10 explains what’s happening there. We’re still using crda for loading the wireless-regdb.
@pelin could you please open terminal and run the command:
iw reg get
And then copy/paste the output text into this thread.
@Daniel hello, here is what appears

I’m first trying to understand why channel 13 isn’t working. I tried the DE regulatory domain here (although on an Intel wifi card) and it worked fine.
Can you post the full output of iw reg get
and iw phy
when running one after the other?
here it is, thanks for your support!
