Endless 5.1.1 on Pinebook Pro

Hello,

I have just successfully installed endlessOs 5.1.1 endlessos on Arm on a PineBook Pro with a 64GB eMMC.
Wifi, sound, bluetooth work without any intervention other than the correct positioning of the internal switches Pinebook commutator

Of course, all applications are in English.
Is it possible to obtain them in French?
Or can we help translate them into French?

Thanks for all this great integration

Thanks for the feedback!
See https://support.endlessos.org/en/endless-os/language-support for some more info on languages. You can switch your system language to French and standard apps should then show up in that language. Once you have selected French you should also be able to install a French encyclopedia from the app center.

That’s it, thank you.

Perhaps you could tell me about the sleep mode?
The “pinebook” seems to enter standby mode correctly, but I don’t know how to come back from it.

I use the power button for several seconds to get the Pinebook to start up. But in reality it doesn’t come out of standby, it starts up normally and loses its previous state.

Have you tested this?
Have you noticed this?
maybe I’m not using the right operation to wake up from standby?

your advice would be invaluable, thank you

If it is s2idle, you can “click” (not press long time) the power button. It wakes up the Pinebook Pro on my hands from s2idle.

Alas, it doesn’t work

I have a problem installing the endless image on my 64GB eMMC. Can you confirm the data structure on your eMMC?

here are my existing partitions

----- It could also be that the data on the other partitions is incorrect. How can I check this?

thank you for your help, I dedicate this device to my grandchildren. I use X64 devices every day with Endless, whose quality I appreciate, and I’ve been using Linux DEBIAN for many years.

but it’s my first step with Pinebook

thank

good morning,
I have reprogrammed a new eMMC as follows
https://support.endlessos.org/en/installation/pinebook_pro
I still have problems starting and stopping.
Before describing these problems, I read on the pinebook forums that a bad SPIFlash content could contribute to these problems.
You can see this in the screenshot of my pinebook startup that I’ve attached to the subject.
Before going any further into the various faults, I’d like to apply a zero setting to the SPIFlash as an indication of how to correct this type of problem.
The “mtd-utils” application (existing under Debian) is indicated for this operation.

But I can’t install it on endlessos,

My question: how can I delete the SPIFlash from endlessos?
thanks for your help
