Endless stuck at logo

Hello,
I have a problem installing Endless OS as my secondary OS on my brand new Dell XPS 15 (9560). I’ve installed Endless OS Basic, but whenever I try to run it from a boot menu, it just stucks at the Endless logo and nothing happens. I tried to reinstall it, but with no luck, I did not try to install Full version, but Iam not sure if it would help at all. Any advices/help here? I’ve encountered Endless OS for the first time just a week ago on girlfriend’s new notebook, and I just kinda liked it. And thats the reason I wanted it on my new notebook as well and I would be glad to have some help with that issue.
Thanks in advance folks!

Sincerely,
Michal

Thanks for answer. I just tried to install Full version, and it just ends up with error before the end of installation process. Here is the log:

So no one knows how to solve this?

Uninstall and install again because Endless OS released a new version 3.2.5
Create a new folder and download new version of Installer from the Endless OS site

Did all that right now again, just to be sure, but no success. Downloaded Basic version again, but it still stucks at the Endless logo at the start right after booting.

When it gets stuck at the Endless logo, try hitting Esc – this may reveal some debug info.

Thanks! Here is what I got:

The ACPI errors are spurious, but looks like something is going wrong in nouveau, the free driver for nvidia GPUs. A bit surprising since there are convincing-sounding reports of running Ubuntu with nouveau on this model. I’ll ask our kernel team.

Thanks for info, I would appreciate to have this issue solved!

It’s not really clear from the Dell website – is this a dual-GPU system (ie NVidia + Intel)? If so, you might be able to hit e on the Endless OS entry in the boot menu, add modprobe.blacklist=nouveau to the end of the linux command line, and hit F10 to boot.

We’re hoping to improve our support for NVidia cards in the next few releases so if that doen’t help, I’d recommend trying again in a month or so. Glad to hear you liked Endless OS on your girlfriend’s notebook!

Yeah, iGPU+dGPU (GF GTX 1050). Will try to do that when I get back home to it and let you know if it works or not. But thanks anyway!

So, not much of a luck with that, actually not any. So I’ll wait for next release and just hope it’ll help.
