Error creating usb stick

I can’t create usb stick, i tried both basic and full, got same erorr, even with different usb

I think there are some bugs in the installation. The Directory does not exist
“C:\Users\iongh\AppData\Local\Temp\EndlessBoot\live\core.img”.
It takes me many times to check that.
can anyone fixes this bugs ??

Ah I misunderstood your comment: you’re hitting the same bug. Unfortunately I don’t know the cause yet but I am working on it.

Multiple attempts. I cleared everything aside the 14GB file for this one. The thumb drive was cleaned with diskpart. EndlessInstaller creates three partitions and a format window appears. The installer reports failure. The temp directory does not exist on this system either.

this line. Is it just confusing logging or is the file being removed before it is used?

Actually, this error is spurious and unrelated.

I don’t understand why the error reported by Windows is “The system cannot find the file specified.” but it’s the target file (the USB device) that misbehaves, not the source file (core.img). I have a potential fix for this bug but it’s not done yet.

That’s because it’s deleted at the end of the process (whether it succeeded or failed).

I understand what you said. If monitoring the destination folder, it does not appear to be created.
