My laptop is acer travelmate b117 with pre installed endless os. I tried to boot ubuntu via usb, the error occured after i tried to change the boot uefi to legacy, and the order of boot to usb first. I failed to boot ubuntu, after that when I tried to normally boot my laptop, I get this error.
Did you change the BIOS settings back to UEFI boot, rather than legacy boot?
Failed to switch root: Specified switch root path /sysroot does not seem to be an OS tree. os-release file is missing.
This error is a new one to me. What do you see if you run these two commands at the emergency shell?
mount
ls -l /sysroot
It would also be useful if you could do as the message says: run journalctl
to view system logs, take photos of each page, and share them here.
Yes I did changed back to uefi and the order to linux first. I will try to run the command you said, also I did run journalctl but I didn’t take photos of it. I will, for reference later. Currently at work . busy for about 10days or so. Thank you
