I am regular user of ubuntu os. When i bought new laptop, it was pre-installed with it. When i used, i can’t install new softwares ! That means, it’s a useless to me ! I can’t customize it… restriction is everywhere.
If there is any other way to manage this things then please share with us. Otherwise I will go back to Ubuntu.
Hi @shivang_patel
It depends on what software you want to install.
If you want to install developtment tools sucs as jdk or android studio I think you better stick with ubuntu. Just reinstall your ubuntu with newest version.
If you just want to install office, game, video/audio tools, software for average users, you can go with EndlessOS.
Ya… you are right. I must stick with Ubuntu. One good side for Endless OS is, Kernal. It’s kernal is good with my laptop. I think i need to install endless os’s kernel in to ubuntu.
Android Studio is available in the Endless app store, so the JDK is available inside this Flatpak - it’s actually also included within the Flatpak SDK that Endless OS apps are built against - so you can get in to the flatpak and use javac:
