How can i copy my files from my old user account

please i need help my endless os stuck in grey screen when i click the user account i use it stuck all grey screen … but if i used shared account all is normal … so i delete the main account but i keep files … i made a new one … my concern is how can i access my files in the previous account to transfer to the new one …

any solution is appreciated …

What version of Endless OS are you using?

Sir my endless version is 3.3.19 … i go to other location computer sysroot/home/(my previous account) it says "you dont have the permission necessary to view the contents … i go to properties permission … you are not the owner so you cannot change these permission

  • Open a Terminal window
  • Run pkexec chown -R newaccount:newaccount /sysroot/home/oldaccount
  • Accept the authentication prompt, and wait for the command to finish

You should now be able to move the your files to the new account.
