How do i install Mods in Minecraft or How do I install Java

Sorry for another post about this

-I want to install Mods in Minecraft Java
-I don’t have Java (Oracle or any Java)
-I did the directions from this website, like putting mods in ~/minecraft

Can i get a help installing Java or some sort of way to install Mods in Minecraft?

Install mods the by dropping them in ~/.var/app/com.mojang.Minecraft/.minecraft/ rather than ~/.minecraft

i dropped my optifine.jar in ~/.var/app/com.mojang.Minecraft/.minecraft
and it didn’t show in Minecraft Versions / can’t find em
