How to enable scanner from hplip-plugin

I have an HP LaserJet 100 color MFP M175nw. In most distributions, enabling access to its scanner requires installing a binary plugin.

On Endless OS 4.0.13, the printer is installed automatically (neat!) but gnome-simple-scan can’t find any scanners nonetheless. The binary plugins don’t seem to be included in the ostree, and I don’t think they can be installed with flatpak.

How can I use the scanner?

Sorry - after failed experiments in the past, we don’t have any supported way of working with that plugin :frowning:
