Something that would help us a lot to understand the problem would be this:
Open the application called ‘Terminal’
In this application run the command:
eos-diagnostics
The above command will create a file with the information of your system (example: eos-diagnostic-160614_111731_UTC + 0100.txt); Send us this file so we can analyze and see a possible solution
I also have an HP X2 detachable. They are built on an Intel Baytrail SOC. That particular architecture has proven very problematic with Linux. There was hope that newer Linux kernels would provide better support, but Intel as discontinued that line of products and I am not sure how much work is being put into Linux effort to support it.
I have never had any luck getting a fully functional Linux based system running on mine. A couple distros have come close, but much as in your experience there is always something that just does not work. I think you are correct though in that the X2 detachable form factor would be very nice to use with Endless.
