Seeing the same result when I try to install Chrome. I’m guessing that they are in the process of updating Chrome to the latest version, which is 69. I suspect it will work in a few days.
You will notice that the not found URL is pointing to Chrome 68. Google has now moved on to Chrome 69 and the download for 68 is no longer valid. We will just need to wait patiently until Endless provides an up date that incorporates an unpdated URL.

Is it usual that Endless is delayed in updating apps like that? Seems strange that it is taking so long when 69 has been out for awhile. Since I just today downloaded and installed Endless OS am I stuck waiting until the App Center gets updated or is there another way?
Different organizations work on different schedules and there are times when things do not sync up as quick as normal. Overall the Endless team is very good and very diligent at keeping up with all the changes in the software and frameworks that Endless supports. This hiccup is only noticed by those of us that did a recent new install.
Internet (Chromium) is installed by default. You can log into Internet like you log into Chrome and everything you do will sync up with Chrome once it is available for install. Which I would guess will probably be soon.

Told them 2 days ago. Appears they aren’t interested
Their git has updated to 69.0.3497.81 while another update for version 69 as of 69.0.3497.92 is out. Either amateurs or don’t take user security seriously. Moved on to a diffrent distro till those issues are resolved.
Yes, I am using Chromium, which is fine for the most part, except I find that video won’t play on a lot of sites. Will patiently wait for the Endless update to Chrome 69.
Thank you so much! That improves things greatly. Maybe I will just stick with Chromium. Not sure what other limitations there may be in comparison to Chrome, but most things seem to work well. It feels “snappier” than Chrome, but that is not based on any measurements since I can’t compare directly.
Once you sign into Gmail it should prompt you (if using another browser) to download Chrome.
Sorry for the inconvenience here. Chrome-69 install is now fixed.
You may see a theming problem making the titlebar hard to read. That will be fixed shortly in another update.
Thanks for reporting the issue!
