Install third party software

How can i install a third party software on the web, I am new on endless os, just install on my laptop this morning, when i use for a dew hour i realize that it’s is very different from the other linux distro, not arch, fedora, or slacko, i am sure that it is base in debian, but many command dose not work, especially “apt”, i even have a stupid mind to test pacman and yum:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:, if “apt” command not work, i just stuck on the flatpak, i haven’t try the installer file “xxx.deb”, but i bet it is not that easy too.

BTW, what software that I need is Hardinfo for hardware and software information, i install it on any linux machine that i have, and the other one is xpadneo driver for the xbox controller, this is what i need now, but the later time maybe i will needing some other software too, if anybody can help, that very thankful:grinning::grinning::grinning:.

another thing, the flatpak apps center was very slow when install a apps, it took very long time to install, after it says the apps was finish install, some app “Pending”, the experience of software install is horrible on endless os, other things is “ok”, not very good but not bad too.

That means there is no way i can install a third party apps?
The flatpak got most of the common use software, it just lack the minor thing like xpadneo that i need for my xbox controller, i can definitely live with usb cable, but the very major things is that the apps center kind of sucks, i download a few software this morning but until now it’s been 12 hour, it is still on “pending”:rofl::rofl:.

The first mind on my head was to tryout endless os, i thing maybe i can use a OS that i can use for my gaming and daily driver, but when everyone need to use it, it can be very simple to use, and don’t have any difficult learning curve. Maybe i should just leave this os to the kid or my parent and back to parrot os for myself :rofl::rofl:.

Something that would help us a lot to understand the problem would be this:

  1. Open the application called ‘Terminal’
  2. In this application run the command:

eos-diagnostics

  1. The above command will create a file with the information of your system (example: eos-diagnostic-160614_111731_UTC + 0100.txt); Send us this file so we can analyze and see a possible solution

Another thing you can do is to download or look for the commands to install in https://flathub.org/home.
