Good Morning, AppIndicator Icons disappear after unlocking the OS - for example, if the Nextcloud Client ist started at boot time, the icon is there, after the system locks it’s gone. The application itself still runs and perform it’s tasks.
It seems, that this is a Bug in the AppIndicator gnome-shell extension:

Are there any plans on incorporating the fix in EOS?

We don’t include this extension in Endless OS so, unless you have installed it yourself, it is unlikely to be the cause of this problem. I’ve just released 3.6.0~beta1 on the beta channel, which has a newer version of the shell – you could see whether that fixes this issue.
Unfortunately, 3.6.0~beta1 didn’t solved the issue with the Tray icons. Still missing after unlocking the session.
