Missing tray icons

BUG REPORT

There’s still a long standing issue with displaying notification icons - they aren’t shown at all for Flatpak applications. Example of applications which use a Notification Icon in the Tray next to the clock:

  • Peek

Not having a Notification icon makes it really hard to use those applications.

Hello wjt,
thanks for the information. And yes, you’re absolutely right about Peek. It seems that this issue has been fixed in the meantime from when i last checked it about two months ago. Peek displays a recording notification in the tray as it should:

Thanks – I had never noticed! Actually that icon is displayed by GNOME Shell itself, since Peek uses a GNOME Shell API to record the screen.
