I’ve just installed eos on 2 Dell e7470 laptops. First one works fine, but 2nd one says “no wifi adapter found”. I ran the hardware probe utility, and it see the wifi card, https://linux-hardware.org/?probe=56e4520c8c
Using Endless 3.5.7
Any ideas why wifi doesn’t work?
Something that would help us a lot to understand the problem would be this:
- Open the application called ‘Terminal’
- In this application run the command:
eos-diagnostics
- The above command will create a file with the information of your system (example: eos-diagnostic-160614_111731_UTC + 0100.txt); Send us this file so we can analyze and see a possible solution
eos-diagnostic-190324_155459_UTC-0500.txt (702.8 KB)
Thanks.
The dell-rfkill driver is reporting that the wifi is blocked by something outside of the driver’s control. Please check that wifi is enabled in your BIOS, and if there is a WiFi or Airplane Mode hotkey on your keyboard try pressing it.
Thanks! BIOS had wifi disabled for some reason. Have a good one.
