OS using problem

Hello Endless community.
I am a new user, i have never used linux either. I liked the concept and tried to install endless os, but after inserting my Endless OS bootable pendrive, i found endless os and entered. But after entering i saw nothing similar to the tutorial video. It didnt ask any kind of questions to me like my language, my name etc. I just had a blank homescreen.Even i cant see any applications, and no keys are working.

My device is a laptop with x64 based processor and currently running Windows 10 pro. Please help me solving this problem.

Oh no!

This suggests that the component responsible for asking you questions about language etc. is crashing on startup. Unfortunately it is rather hard to debug problems with this component without some Linux expertise.

How did you create the bootable pendrive?

Anther option is to try the virtual-machine version of Endless OS. https://support.endlessos.org/en/installation/vm/virtualbox

If you are feeling adventurous, the steps to debug are:

  1. Access the boot menu – follow step 2 of https://support.endlessos.org/en/troubleshooting/boot-previous-version
  2. Press e to edit the options for the Endless OS menu item
  3. Use the arrow keys to select the line beginning linux, press End to move to the end of the line, and add a space followed by systemd.debug_shell=1
  4. Press Ctrl+x to boot
  5. Once you get to that screen, press Ctrl+Alt+F9 to access a debug console
  6. Run journalctl and scroll to near the end, looking for error messages from gnome-initial-setup
