HI! Did You find a solution to your problem? forced the same…
Hi there,
This is an issue that needs to be fixed in Thunderbird itself as part of the ticket at https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1290670, which has also been explicitly reported for Thunderbird’s flatpak here: https://github.com/flathub/org.mozilla.Thunderbird/issues/1
In the meantime, there is a workaround you can use as described in https://github.com/flathub/org.mozilla.Thunderbird/issues/1#issuecomment-377798909:
…what you can do is to click on the “Choose” button of the dialog shown in #1 (comment) and select /usr/bin/xdg-open, that would redirect the links through the OpenURI portal.
If you do that, Thunderbird will remember to use the /usr/bin/xdg-open
binary provided by flatpak’s runtime to handle links from that point on, which should open the link in your browser by using one piece called “flatpak portals” under the hood.
Hope this helps!
Mario
Hi Mario,
YES, it helps for me. Now i can switch from a url in the email from Mozilla Thunderbird to a internet browser.
Hopely there comes a solution for the intel audio problem. Only the first runtime from a life usb stick gives audio true the speakers in the Asus R209HA notebook. After installing and upgrading i have lost the direct audio. I can have with a bluetooth speaker.
Thanks for the workaround !!!
