Are there any chances to run pulse audio volume control (see http://0pointer.de/lennart/projects/pavucontrol/ ) on endless? Preferable in the context of audacity.
As far as my spanish reaches, I am not alone, see: Agregar repositorio para instalar pavucontrol

Standard answer, I’m afraid: not without someone making a Flatpak of it. The Sound page in Settings covers most things, but indeed not capturing the monitor output as an input.

Dear Will,
I installed the package as explained in https://github.com/flathub/flathub/pull/904#issuecomment-472613732 , tried it quickly, and it looks quite good (recording from an internal source as explained in https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/tutorial_recording_computer_playback_on_linux.html works nicely). But I fear it should be tested a little bit more in all details (and I am not at all an expert for pavucontrol) before being set free on flathub.
In any case: Thanks a lot.

I finally found time to finish this; pavucontrol is now live on Flathub .
