I emptied the recycle bin recently, but now realize that there could be a couple of important documents deleted by mistake. Is there any way to recover the permanently deleted files?
I can’t find any info, but still don’t lose hope.
Any help will be appreciated.
First of all - Don’t write any new files as they might overwrite the area of the disk used to store the deleted files.
Download (on another computer) a Live CD suited for Disaster Recovery like http://www.system-rescue-cd.org and use it to boot your system. Then use a tool like photorec or testdisk to recover deleted files. Recover them to a attached USB Stick.
