Running portable apps (.jar files)

Hello, I was wondering how to run a portable version of the DataCrow application? https://www.datacrow.net/ The project has been abandoned by the developer after many years of work, and I would like to keep it as a portable app on my USB. Double clicking the .jar file does nothing, and of course it cannot be started by running the .exe file. How do I run this app on Endless?
