I bought an laptop today and i need it for work, i work via skype. But, it says that i can’t download skype from the site, so i searched google a bit and it says that i need to download it from the app called “more apps”. Stil it does not work, when i go to the search bar and type skype, nothing happns, it does not exist. I really like the look and the way this OS works, but if there is no way to get it it’s a big MINUS in the OS industry and i’ll gladly change to another one. About the app downloads from the ‘more apps’ i can’t even download google chrome, after i click on the install it starts loading but nothing happens, install window appears again. Same comes for the updates.
Skype does not exist
- Open the application called ‘Terminal’
- In this application run the command:
rm -f eos-fix-ostree-repo
wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/endlessm/eos-meta/master/eos-tech-support/eos-fix-ostree-repo
chmod +x eos-fix-ostree-repo
sudo ./eos-fix-ostree-repo && flatpak update
