Sound and trackpad issues with Asus GL703VM

I have just installed Endless on my GL703VM laptop and all appeared to go smoothly. However i have noticed a strange issue with sound. If i try to play a video on youtube i get sound for a second then it fades out and never comes back. After that theres no sound again until i reboot.

I have tried checking in terminal with aplay -l and get the following output. I also get no sound when i try to test it in settings.

card 0: PCH [HDA Intel PCH], device 0: ALC295 Analog [ALC295 Analog]
Subdevices: 0/1
Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
card 1: NVidia [HDA NVidia], device 3: HDMI 0 [HDMI 0]
Subdevices: 1/1
Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
card 1: NVidia [HDA NVidia], device 7: HDMI 1 [HDMI 1]
Subdevices: 1/1
Subdevice #0: subdevice #0

I also have noticed that i am unable to bring up left click with 2 fingers on the trackpad. It is a trackpad that supports microsoft precision touchpads if that helps to solve this issue. I also cant click by tapping the pad. how do i get the correct touchpad driver for this?

Hi!

Please reproduce the error and send us a diagnostic:

Something that would help us a lot to understand the problem would be this:

  1. Open the application called ‘Terminal’
  2. In this application run the command:

eos-diagnostics

  1. The above command will create a file with the information of your system (example: eos-diagnostic-160614_111731_UTC + 0100.txt); Send us this file so we can analyze and see a possible solution

Ok i have managed to solve the sound issue by disabling fast boot from the bios of the laptop. I hope this helps others who have the same issue.
