I recklessly unpacked my old zip archive with a large array of midi files. And tracker-extract is crazy. One of the processor cores is constantly 100% loaded with memory. And for Rhythmbox (rhythmbox-meta-data in particular) it is a separate story with midi files.
Is it possible to set up file indexing in Endless OS?
And is tracker important for the system at all?
You could try the options in Settings → Search → Search Locations – I am not sure but I think these control which directories Tracker will index.
Thank you for the answer. Yes, I thought about these settings. Maybe I will try in the future. In this particular case, I just deleted these files, before I even found the search setting.
