Trying to install Endless instead of Ubuntu? Dead end reached!

I don’t have windows installed on my PC, it is Ubuntu. I followed the advice of installing Endless via USB and writing in the command line of Ubuntu terminal all to no avail. What can I try next please. This laptop is about to be launched out the window!
